The most loved festival by Venetian people which gathers tens of thousands people every year in the third weekend of July.
More than 1.500 boats gather joyfully in the basin of San Marco to attend a memorable event: a great night of celebration that ends up in one of the world’s most famous fireworks show, while other thousands of people crowd  the watersides all around to attend the celebration.

 

 

 

This year for the first time, a gala event will take place in the exclusive location of Punta della Dogana, in partnership with Action Aid Italia, an independent international NGO fighting against povery and injustice in poor countries of the world. Among the 200 guests, VIPs, business people, Authorities and scientific representations will attend the event.

 

In June 2009, the seventeenth-century Punta della Dogana in Venice was reopened to the public as the seat of François Pinault Foundation for contemporary Art. The old warehouses have become the exhibition center of one of the largest modern art collections, creating a timeless universe in a unique place.

 

Guests will have the chance to experience a unique night combining art, tradition and charity. After visiting the art exhibition “In Praise of Doubt”, guests can enjoy dinner, which will be served on the platform outside the Punta della Dogana, overlooking the island of Giudecca, and the island of San Giorgio.
